Shoes

A walk down the High Street will produce a selection of stores selling shoes, boots and Havaianas flip flops.  All occasions are catered for, whether it is for travel, parties, daywear, gymwear, summer or winter.

If finances won’t stretch too far, then the most versatile colours that can be worn with a variety of outfits are black, navy, nude or taupe.  If buying a nude colour shoe then experience shows it is best to choose one that is more tan or beige than pink.  Nude is a welcome change from black which is a somewhat heavy colour.

If you prefer the bright, memorable, startling colours of shoe, then to achieve the desired effect remember to wear the same colour elsewhere on the body, even if it is just on a scarf or an ear-ring.  Buying seasonal bargains in current fashion colours of shoe only have a limited life, and the white shoe has restricted use as it looks best only at summertime and in warm climates. Choice of shoe should reflect personality and occasion.  However, if you cannot walk normally in a pair of shoes, for instance if the heel is too high, then avoid wearing them regardless of how much you like them.
